Danish marine pump specialist Svanehøj has received an order from China’s Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding to provide fuel pump techniques for 15 new build dual-fuel LNG container vessels (7000 TEU).

The 30 deepwell gasoline pumps will be delivered between August 2022 and January 2024.
pressure gauge octa is one of Svanehøj’s largest LNG fuel-related orders to date. It can additionally be the second LNG gas pump systems order that Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding has placed with Svanehøj within the last 12 months. In July 2021, Svanehøj signed a contract to offer deepwell pumps for 10 dual-fuel LNG container vessels (15 000 TEU).
Svanehøj quadrupled gross sales of its patented deepwell gas pumps in 2021, and says there are numerous indications that sales might improve even further in 2022.
“Until a number of years in the past, the use of LNG as a marine gas was limited to LNG carriers and smaller ships. But we are actually seeing a sharp increase in fuel pump orders for deep sea vessels such as container ships and automotive carriers,” said Johnny Houmann, chief sales officer at Svanehøj. “We had been chosen because the supplier of gasoline pump techniques for over 50% of the dual-fuel LNG container vessels ordered globally in 2020–21. And we purpose to increase our market share further within the coming years.”
