Alfa Laval provides to aquaculture portfolio

Alfa Laval has acquired LiftUP, a Norwegian provider of waste extraction techniques for fish farms.
Located เกจวัดแรงดันpsi on the west coast of Norway, LiftUP manufactures, sells and installs pumps and cleansing gear for the removing of dead fish, waste and sludge from open fish cages. The compressed waste is stored in tanks which are shipped to a biogas facility, where it’s transformed to renewable energy and a high-grade fertilizer.
The LiftUP system complements Alfa Laval Framo’s AquaStream pumping system which brings up recent low temperature water with high oxygen levels (from around 25m depth) and creates a perfect sea present, providing situations similar to deep fjords.
LiftUP, which had revenues of NOK75 million in 2020, will now be part of Alfa Laval’s Pumping Systems business unit within the Marine Division.
“This acquisition is a valuable addition to our sustainable aquaculture portfolio, increasing our providing of fish farming solutions that increases each the productiveness and financial attractiveness of fish farming options while decreasing its influence on the environment,” stated Sameer Kalra, president of Alfa Laval’s Marine Division.
