Alfa Laval has acquired LiftUP, a Norwegian supplier of waste extraction techniques for fish farms.
Located outdoors Bergen on the west coast of Norway, LiftUP manufactures, sells and installs pumps and cleansing tools for the removing of lifeless fish, waste and sludge from open fish cages. The compressed waste is stored in tanks that are shipped to a biogas facility, where it is transformed to renewable vitality and a high-grade fertilizer.

LiftUP, which had revenues of NOK75 million in 2020, will now be part of Alfa Laval’s Pumping Systems business unit within the Marine Division.
